There are a few things to bear in mind. But perhaps you have already discovered the ATTENTION notes on Shapeways.com.
- Remove any remaining dust from the inside (under the bottom of the bottle & battery strap slot)
- make sure that the button can move freely
- possibly widen the 510 hole
- Scorch the battery strap on one side with a lighter until it jams in the slot
Installation sequence
- First comes the 510.
- First snap in the positive terminal plate until it fits snugly and clicks into place (do not bend it quite 90 degrees so that you get enough pressure on the button)
- Screw in the negative pole plate with 510 body (without core) halfway so that you have enough play to get the core past the plate.
- Insert the battery so that there is pressure on the positive terminal plate and the button is in the final position.
- Lift the sheet metal (just enough so that the button flies past)
- Fit the button with very thin double-sided adhesive and lower the sheet metal.
- REMOVE THE BATTERY !!!
- Install the core (shorten the pin for 8.5 mm bottles beforehand)
- Tighten the 510 (it's best to counter the nut and tighten it with an old Atty instead of fiddly tightening the nut with needle-nose pliers)
- Have fun!
