A 510 connector from Germany? Why not. What the American and English engineers can do , the Germans can do as well.
Of course, a copy was out of the question. Instead, many areas were successfully optimized and redeveloped. Especially in the areas of "Volt Drop" and "seat strength" this has led to significant improvements.
The reduction in volt drop is essentially achieved by two measures. On the one hand, the entire positive terminal is gold-plated. This includes both the tube in the center core as well as the nut on which the (copper / silver sheet) strikes. On the other hand, the nut is flattened on one side. This means that the plate no longer rests on only one point, but has a surface of 5.3 x 4mm available.
The nut is held in place by an Allen grub screw. This makes it beqeum adjustable in height. The grub screw is located opposite the flattened side. When tightened, it pulls the flattened side, exactly where the main current flow takes place, tightly against the gold-plated tube. Another plus point against the volt drop.
The thread of the 510 and the nut are designed as left-hand thread. This complicates somewhat the installation in the mod. But for this there is no danger of accidentally loosening the connector during use.
The connector is available in silver and black. The black color was applied by means of PVD coating. It has a hardness greater than 2000HV, so nothing scratches here. Furthermore, the coating is electrically conductive. Between nut and top cap was intentionally verzischtet on the coating to allow an even better flow of current.
A silicone ring is incorporated in the center core. This is not absolutely necessary and serves more of a double security.
The entire center core is pressed into the 510. Here, too, nothing can come loose in the long run.
