The 510 Connector Micro from ModMaker. Certainly one of the best, if not the best connector on the market. Compared to the already very good V1, a number of further improvements have been incorporated.
There is now an extra large solder hole for connecting the Plus cable. This allows cables of up to 10 AWG maximum to be used. The width of the connector has been reduced to M10. So it also fits very well into small mods, or there is more space in the mod
The housing is made of stainless steel for optimal durability. The two nuts are made of silver-plated brass. The plus pole is completely made of copper for particularly high conductivity. The Top Cap has a thickness of 0,5mm without washer, with additional washer of 1mm. Washer is available in the sizes 18mm, 22mm, 24mm, 25mm and 30mm.
The insulator is made of PEEP reinforced with glass fibre. This results in a much higher strength and stiffness. It can be loaded with up to 300°C for a short time and up to 240°C permanently. He is clearly superior to Delrin or Ultem. An O-ring on the positive pole and an O-ring on the insulator ensure absolute tightness
Suspension is provided by a stiff wave spring (rings of crimped flat wire) with a typical pressure of 4.2kg (42 N). This results in a very firm connection between the connector and the evaporator and reduces the voltage drop (volt drop).
