The 510 connector Micro 22 from ModMaker. For sure one of the best, if not the best connector on the market. Compared to the already very good V1, a number of other improvements have been incorporated.
There is now an extra large solder hole for the connection of the plus cable. This allows the use of cables up to max. 10 AWG. The width of the connector has been reduced to M10. So it fits very well in small mods, or there is more space in the mod.
The housing is made of stainless steel for optimal durability. The two nuts are made of silver plated brass. The plus pole is made entirely of copper for extra high conductivity. The top cap has a thickness of 1.0mm, with additional washer of 1mm.
The insulator is made of PEEP reinforced with glass fibre. This results in a much higher strength and stiffness. It can be loaded with up to 300°C for a short time and with up to 240°C permanently. It is therefore clearly superior to Delrin or Ultem. An O-ring on the plus pole and an O-ring on the insulator ensure absolute tightness.
The spring is a stiff wave spring (rings made of corrugated flat wire) with a typical pressure of 4.2kg (42 N). This results in a very tight connection between connector and evaporator and reduces the voltage drop(Volt Drop).
